For over 40 years, we have been offering  horseback  riding vacations in one of the most beautiful and natural regions of Italy: Maremma Toscana. Our agriturismo and equestrian center cater to all levels of riders from experts  to beginners.  On horseback you will experience nature in an up close and special way.  The wonderful views span from the mountains to the coast in the west, and to Siena in the northeast. Horse riding in Tuscany is really a special experience.

During your riding vacation in sunny Italy, there are many options for riding and relaxing. You may choose to spend an hour on horseback, while relaxing at the pool of the agriturimo for the rest of the day, or you may decide to ride for the entire day. Here are some example destinations of our Trail Rides:

Horseback tour “MINES OF GERFALCO”: A wild, farm-spotted path leads you to former silver mines and a wonderful view of the sea and Tuscany. In the morning, we pass through the small Medieval alleys of the village of Gerfalco.

Horse ride “RIVER MERSE”: Ride through the crystal waters of the Merse River and experience how nature has recaptured former agricultural land over the years. On warm days, the high point of the riders' week is a swim with the horses in the river. After the picnic we may visit one of the most famouts abbey ruins of Italy: San Galgano.

Trail ride “PRATA”: Old trade and animal paths cross through the native forests in this area. Here, one often meets wild animals such as wild boar, deer, fox and porcupines. From the "Poggio di Prata" you can look out at a 360 degree view of Tuscany.

Horse tour “GALLERAIE”: This ride leads through fields along a ridge and then down to the Cecina River and a shady forest.  We arrive at the abandoned Therme of Galleraie, where we can visit ruins of an antique bath from the time of the Etruscans.
